The latest update for Warzone has been revealed, season 6 will launch on the 7th of October and include new weapons, operators, big map changes to Verdansk and a Halloween event later in the season.
NEW MAP CHANGES
Well start with map changes, and with this being the final season before vanguard, there will be some changes to go with it.
Cracks and fissures have started to appear around Verdansk, with WW2 bunkers hidden inside of them.
These cracks appear mostly in downtown and stadium, with downtown being hit the hardest, there are even buildings that have been destroyed.
These cracks have revealed WWII bunkers and a secret passageway of old bunkers hidden since the end of the war, which you can now access in Verdansk.
On top of this a new Gulag is coming but its gonna be very similar to the original gulag in terms of looks.
As part of the Season Six update for Warzone on October 6, Regiments will be frozen, in preparation to transition it towards a new and more rewarding Clan system based around playing with your friends and fellow community members.
After October 6, you will only be able to view your Regiment Roster and inspect players. You will not be able to create, manage, switch, or invite people to your Regiment, use Regiment Tags, or receive Happy Hour rewards after this date. And if you are in multiple Regiments, you have until October 5 to ensure that you are “Active” in the one you wish to stay in through Vanguard’s launch on November 5.
This is all to limit any variables as Call of Duty sets up a new Clan-based system, to be rolled out in Warzone by the end of the year.
A new operator Mason, black ops original protagonist, is available with the Season Six Battle Pass at Tier 0. Purchase the Battle Pass, and you’ll unlock him for use across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
Fuze will also be available as part of a bundle later in the season
Lastly Pre-order Vanguard and get the Arthur Kingsley Operator, available to use in warzone right now ahead of vanguards release.
Three free new weapons are coming at launch: the .410 Ironhide Shotgun, a hard-hitting, extreme-CQB option; the reliable midrange Assault Rifle known as the Grav; and the devastating Battle Axe.
All three weapons are available at the start of Season Six, with a prototypical bullpup SMG and a set of deadly melee tools to come later in the fall.
The .410 Iron Hide
It’s a Lever-action shotgun. High damage at close range with an improved fire rate. Reliable 2-shot kill with a short 1-shot range.
Obtain the .410 Ironhide for free and ready to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 15 of the Season Six Battle Pass.
Full-auto assault rifle. Fast firing rifle with improved range. Fastest bullet velocity in class with modest damage and moderate recoil.
Obtain the Grav for free and ready to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 31 of the Season Six Battle Pass.
The Battle Axe can be yours through one of two methods: complete an in-game challenge to obtain the free base weapon, or pick up the unique Weapon Blueprint version of this melee tool through a Store Bundle available at Season Six’s launch.
The LAPA SMG
Get your hands on the prototypical LAPA through The Haunting Event later this season, both as an event reward — similar to the Sai from The Numbers Event— or in a Store Bundle via Weapon Blueprint.
Hammer and Sickle
Following The Haunting, prepare to crush your enemies with the might of a Hammer and Sickle.
Earn this dual-wield weapon in Black Ops Cold War or Warzone either through a melee-based challenge or within a new Store Bundle, both to arrive later in Season Six.
And if you are wandering the Halloween event begins on October 19th, with details being revealed the day before, so I will go over them then.
Lastly a bunch of new prestige levels and rewards as always.
