New Missions
The Mercenaries: An arcade-style mini-game that challenges players to defeat enemies within a set time limit, with the goal of achieving a high score. Players can choose from various characters to play as during this mode.
Assignment Ada: A short, non-canon scenario where players control Ada and must gather plaga samples. The scenario takes place in the earlier stages of the island and Ada has her own starting equipment.
Separate Ways: A substantial, five-chapter canon scenario that details Ada’s actions during the main game. Players can save their progress during gameplay and visit the Merchant to acquire new items.

New Game Plus
Upon finishing the game’s story mode, players have the option to save their progress and create a New Game Plus. Instead of selecting “New Game,” players should choose “Load” to access their New Game Plus. In this mode, Leon or Ada (depending on which game is loaded) retains all of their inventory, ammunition, weapons, and upgrades within their Attache Case.
Professional mode
By successfully completing the game once on normal mode, players can unlock the option to start a new game on Professional mode. This mode represents the highest level of difficulty in the game, as enemies are more formidable and inflict greater damage, with most Ganado’s attacking without warning.
Bottle Caps
These are collectible figurines of characters and enemies from Resident Evil 4 that can be found throughout the game. The player can collect 24 different viewable bottle caps by playing the Shooting Range mini-game. Collecting full sets of these awards the player with money.

Free Punisher Weapon
The player can obtain an early and free Punisher handgun by shooting 10 Blue Medallions in the farm and then talking to the Merchant in chapter 1-1. If all 15 are shot, the Punisher will be free and will include one firepower tune up.
New Title Screen
By default, the title screen displays a static image featuring Leon and Ashley. However, upon completing the game once, the screen will transition to a panoramic image of the village center that scrolls horizontally. The speed and direction of the scrolling can be altered by manipulating the joystick. Unfortunately, there is no known method to revert to the original default image after completing the game.
Movie Browser
A feature that permits players to re-watch cutscenes at their leisure. Once the main game has been completed, all of its cutscenes will be available for viewing, while completing Separate Ways unlocks its own exclusive cutscenes.
Ada’s Report
Ada’s Report is a collection of five brief video reports, each of which is unlocked by completing a chapter in Separate Ways.
