How to unlock the mount in Diablo IV and get pre order bonuses for your horse. The mount is the best way to travel the map and you get different horses to choose from at the stables including pre order items and armors for your horse. To unlock the mount, will take a little bit of play time.
Obtaining a mount in Diablo 4 has been slightly altered compared to previous iterations of the game. In order to acquire a horse, players must progress through the main story until they reach Act 4. This means that you won’t have access to a mount until you’re well into the game.
To acquire your horse, you need to interact with a character named Donan in the Temple of Light at the beginning of Act 4. Donan will inform you that you don’t currently possess a horse and will suggest speaking with the stable master to obtain one.
It may seem peculiar to introduce the mount so late in the game. Players who have diligently explored Act 1, completed all the altars, side missions, and progressed to Act 2 may find it disheartening that the mount is only unlocked after hours of gameplay, possibly even around the 100-hour mark.
Unfortunately, trying to expedite the process by solely focusing on Act 3 won’t work. To unlock Act 4 and acquire the horse, you must fully complete Acts 1, 2, and 3. This requirement can be frustrating for those eager to obtain the mount earlier in the game.
However, if you’re looking to obtain your mount as soon as possible, it is advisable to skip optional content such as altars and side missions and instead concentrate on progressing through the first three acts. This approach should take approximately 7 or 8 hours, allowing you to enjoy the game with your trusty steed once it becomes available.
After interacting with Donan in Act 4, make sure to speak with the stable owner, who will provide you with your eagerly awaited mount. From that point onward, you can traverse the world of Diablo 4 on horseback, enhancing your mobility and overall gameplay experience.
