The Cyberpunk 2077 Weapons Guide will give you all the info you need on every weapon in game. The world of cyberpunk is vast and so you will need a large array of firearms to keep you safe in the Night City.
All weapons are fully customizable and come in lots of variations. Long range weapons usually pistols, rifle and shotguns can be found as either a street or tech weapon and can be used for combat at all ranges. Melee weapons however offer an up close and personal option with high damage.
Weapons offer upgrades called modules which can alter the weapon making it either a smart, tech or power weapon, each with there own unique benefits.
The weapons are designed to work alongside the different play styles in game, although you can mix and match them, meaning if you play a tech character a tech pistol would be a good choice but you dont have to use one you can opt for a smart pistol if you prefer.
Cyberpunk 2077 Weapons Guide
There are 7 known main weapon types in Cyberpunk 2077. Each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses but the wide variety means there is a weapon type for any playstyle. They include the following:

Smart Weapons – Weapons that basically shoot homing bullets that follow targets.
Tech Weapons – those that have additional capabilities for example being able to shoot through cover objects.
Power Weapons – mainly focused on being street-grade weapons. They have additional skills and capabilities connected to the fact that have been modified in some way. For example a shotgun that has burst fire.
Many weapons have there own unique abilities to them that make them unique. This includes handguns that fire bullets and the longer you hold the fire button the faster the bullets shoot dealing more damage over time.
Other examples include weapons that are designed to fight cyborgs, the lead is heated to almost be molten and can shoot of the limbs of cyborgs.
Weapons can also be improved via the in game skill tree which improves the damage weapons deal when you upgrade the relevant skills.
Weapons can be altered to improve them, some weapons, not all, have secondary fire modes that when equipped will do different things. One firing mode on the gun can shoot cover piercing ammo while the secondary firing mode of the same gun will shoot ricocheting bullets.
