Cyberpunk 2077 features a classes based on the tabletop game and there are three classes to specialise in: Techie, Netrunner and Solo.
in Cyberpunk 2077 the class system exists but is entirely fluid. You can play exclusively as a netrunner, or you can play part netrunner with some techie skills. The choice is yours.
“Unlike with the original 2020 where you’re locked into one of those things and then could pick and choose a bit, in ours we want you to be able to pick and choose very fluidly and freely to play the way you want to play.”
- Netrunner – These individuals can plug themselves into the network and use data as a weapon. They have advanced cybernetic augments which allow them to literally plug into the minds of enemies and inflict viruses on them.
- Solo – Solos are a collection of hired professional hitmen. They have an innate ability to detect traps and danger in their surroundings, and have a heightened sensory awareness of possible threats.
- Techie – Techies build new gadgets and are experts in tinkering with Cybernetic Augments. They can build traps, sabotage tech and use their hacking abilities to their advantage in a combat situation.
