Borderlands 3 Amara Skill Trees: Guide for Best Builds and Playstyles

Borderlands 3’s Amara the Siren is already a hero to many players, but in this game, she has a chance to shine as a badass Vault Hunter. Amara’s supernatural Siren abilities enable her to pulverize her foes with astral projections, pounding them into a bloody pulp with fists made of pure energy. Amara’s three distinct skill trees, Fist of the Elements, Mystical Assault, and Brawl, all offer different playstyles. We’ll take a look at each skill tree to help you decide which one suits your preferred style of play.

Borderlands 3 Amara Skill Trees
Fist of the Elements
If you want to make Amara a master of elemental damage, you should choose the Fist of the Elements skill tree. The Phasegrasp Action Skill can lock an enemy in place, allowing you to fill them with lead, electricity, or any other method that suits your fancy. As you progress through the tree, you’ll find numerous ways to amplify your elemental damage output. Skills such as Wildfire add a percentage chance that Status Effects applied to an enemy can spread to other enemies, Catharsis makes it so that enemies explode on death, and Conflux gives you a chance to randomly electrocute, ignite, or melt an enemy every time you apply a status effect.
Mystical Assault
The hallmark of the Mystical Assault skill tree is relentless, sustained attacks. A Phasecast can soften up enemies, while using your Action Skill will score stacks of Rush, a bonus provided by starter skills in the Mystical Assault tree that activate buffs. As you invest more points in Mystical Assault, you’ll unlock even more bonuses that trigger every time you use your Action Skill. Transcend grants increased accuracy and critical hit bonus, Laid Bare makes enemies take increased damage from all sources, and Avatar lets you activate your Action Skill while it’s still cooling down once per cooldown.
Brawl
If you enjoy melee combat, you’ll enjoy the Brawl skill tree. You’ll be able to tank a few hits as you close the distance for some hand-to-face melee. Early on in the Brawl skill tree, you’ll find passive abilities that up your survivability, increasing your maximum health and giving you some damage resistance. Find Your Center ups your melee damage, while Guardian Angel makes you even tougher to take down. Blitz puts the force of Amara’s Siren abilities into a powerful strike, dealing elemental melee damage.
No matter which skill tree you choose, Amara will undoubtedly bring the beat-downs. However, choosing the right skill tree will help you get the most out of Amara’s abilities, making you a force to be reckoned with in the game. Each skill tree offers a unique style of play that suits different playstyles. So, choose wisely and get ready to take on the baddies of Pandora in style.
